Odd application form

Got an interview, and it turns out not to be much of a problem - I know all three of the interview panel!

Which is terrifying in itself...

Matt

...the job description and person spec could basically have been my CV, so I'll be *really* disappointed if I don't get an interview.
In which case surely your educational background shouldn't really matter..?

To be fair if I saw an Oxbridge degree on an application form I'd be more likely to discriminate against the applicant.

To ***ing right. After years and years on low pay, I've suddenly got the equivalent of a £6,500 pay rise.

*does the dance of joy*

:D:)

lol.

My first class (hons) Bachelors is from an ex-poly. Lovely place, but one of my assignments was marked at 100% before someone sensible moderated it down to 85%. My BSc average was either 78% or 79%.

The idea of getting 85% here is a joke. Not going to happen. 75% is described as publishable in a friend's department, and that seems to hold for my department n all.

tbf, one 85% assignment would bring the average of three 65% assignments up to first class.

Whereas atm I'm far more knife-edge. One bad assignment is harder to balance out. A 65% needs to be balanced by a publishable paper if ya want a first class degree!

e2a: just seen the rest. Nicely :D

Wow, a decent pay rise as well as a new job! Lucky you! And it sounds like this is exactly the type of job you wanted? So double result! Yay Matt S!
