Titles of the pictures influence heavily on the interpretation of justaposition. So I ignored the titles and just looked at the pics that visually juxtaposed.

1) dansumption - Aliens invade Oxford Circus - intelligent and well composed.
2) zoltan69 - fight them on the beaches - hard pic to get given the scale of the background vs the size of the kids in the foreground
3) big eejit - Happy Lane - more of a visual pun - good one though.

Not too many entries fitting the theme imho but what do I know eh.

brilliant! I just think this is fucking hillarious, and the correlation between shapes is really strong, well spotted that man.

(Beautiful photograph. Love it. I guess the brief is always open to interpretation and whilst there's no obvious juxtaposition it's a great photograph that gets my vote regardless).

I get innocence v evilness of war and experience, but it could equally be a physical juxtaposition. Plenty of interpretations. Just that it isn't graphically as juxtaposed as other shots. I love it. I think it's got loads going for it, a photograph you ponder much over.

OK, my votes for this month:

1st: Bikes - Doc Herbts. Great. I loved it from the moment I first saw it, esp the way in which the old, rusty bike becomes almost ghost-like and part of the wall.

2nd: Holocaust Memorial - Disco dave. A ironically clean, crisp photo with her emerging; also her colour against those grey, drab, cold walls. Very nice.

3rd: Happy Lane - Big Eedjit. Lovely juxtaposition.

Liked almost all the other photos, but esp. BE's Boats, zoltan69's Wildlife Reserve, djbombscare's 35 years apart unedited, kropotkin's tongue in cheek Alien Invasion and more.
