October Photo Competition - Juxtaposition

Ohh can I have a go as well? Ta!

I've only had my camera a little while and its only a Powershot number, but I think I could get into this photographing things malarkey.

Lean

I fiddled with the colour a little bit in Photoshop, but I'm not really sure what I should be doing so it may be too much, or not enought!

Just opened that link whilst listening to 'paint it black' by the rolling stones. The line 'i see a red door and i want it painted black' came in just as the pic loaded. spooky :eek:

Also, that's my favourite entry so far :cool:

Mate I like that it looks cool. I like the way the reds have come out.

I dunno what Im doing in photoshop either, I just play until it looks alright to me. And your pic looks alright to me man. I like it
 
I had a few goes at a few things but i've kept coming back to this one.

Portrait

I've enjoyed looking at some wierd and wonderful images and pictures this month :cool: this feels like something to challenge you a bit imo. and that's always good eh? :)

Aliens invade Oxford Circus dansumption i like this one loads and i feel not so right in voteing a close mate however it is a damm fine image it has it all so it comes in at no 1..

Happy Lane big eejit wow what an image i love it it has it all well thought out and worked just good photography so it comes at no 2

Evolution hiccup another good photo and thought out i like people that think about there shit and then cary it out so no it comes in at no 3

and a shout to johey24 i liked all three of yours and i would have voted all three of them but sometimes others just come knock you over n all that well done to the rest of you ive enjoyed this subject..

My votes are:

1. johey24 - poles apart - great title, really captures the theme for me
2. alef - look behind you - another one bang on the theme, well captured
3. djtrees - lean - this just makes me smile for some reason

Others I really liked are johey24's new DVD (really gets the theme again) and paulie's change of pace.
 
Gosh i've had trouble making my mind up. But, in reverse order, drum roll please:

3) alef - Look behind you
2) johey24 - Taking home the new DVD
1) Hocus Eye - Sign of the times

I really really liked djtree's Lean and big eejit's Happy Lane made us both laugh a lot when we looked at it :cool: , top stuff all round :)
