I think the point she is trying to make is NOT that capitalism is perfect, (or she might have believed that, but it is plainly wrong), more that given the alternative of the Hobbesian world where the rich simply abuse the poor, capitalism is the best model because everything else would be authoritarian.

You're backtracking here. This isn't what you were saying in previous posts. You were claiming that "man" (not humans, but man) was entirely rational.
