Obama v Fox News

John Howard is an embarrassment (as well as a hate-filled fuckwit  ):

I'm guessing you've heard about this:

http://www.abc.net.au/news/newsitems/200702/s1845084.htm

How dare John Howard comment about US (national) policy. I'm not religious by nature, but I pray the Labor Party win the next Federal election.

STFU Howard!!

He's broken an unwritten diplomatic rule. I think it would be fair to say he's doing some unpaid PR work for the Republiscums.

Americans usually respond in the exact opposite way when foreigners do things like this. Look at the time that the British tried to get involved in the presidential election by mouthing off in Ohio or somewhere against Bush. It had been a close race, but voters ended up going republican there.

Yep. Although even a Republican responded angrily by telling him to stay out of their (domestic) politics.

I know I go on about it, but I loathe John Howard.

I didn't know about this.

No matter the fact that Howard is an arrogant hypocrite himself, it is beyond hypocritical arrogant of every US politician to be "upset" about this, isn't it.
All *they* ever do is telling other countries how *they* would wnat them to be governed, if not invading them, murdering hundreds of thousands, to get it done.

They absolutely have no voice to raise in this type of debate.

salaam.

Aldebaran is absolutely right: US politicians (and members of the public) are constantly telling other countries what they should do and who they should vote for. For the US to complain about others doing the same is quite breath taking.

You have an election this year, don't you? I hope the bastard gets kicked out of office. Are there any scandals that might sully his image? Any dirt?

True.

Although any blasting of John Howard - especially by a Republican ;) - is a good thing :D

There's a book written by Mungo MacCallum, Run, Johnny, Run (about the 2004 election), that alleges Howard 'pimped' for other pollies in his younger years in Canberra (amongst other sordid, yet delicious :p , claims).

But Howard being the 'teflon' politician that he is, passed through that time with barely a raised bushy eyebrow.

He's foul.

Obama will fizzle out over the next year.

Yea, but you would say that wouldn't you Nostradamus.

Obama is good television. He's charming and witty - and doesn't exude slime like the people you support.

What will actually happen over the next year is that his popularity will grow - and then the people that you support will find some way of mounting a sleazy smear campaign against him, then... well... it all depends on the gulliability of The American People.
