Just got back from the O2 Wireless at Leeds, and the security wasn't nearly as tight as the one at Hyde Park, by the sounds of it.
Good though. Gnarls Barkley and Pharrell got the crowd going. Goldfrapp and DJ Shadow clashed, which was a bit of a shame, but at least Shadow was in a tent so kept out of the rain. He was pretty good, but not really taking to some of the newer stuff just yet - might take a few listens. Massive Attack got better as the set went on. But the most shocking bit was the lack of transport from the venue. Harewood House is a good 8 miles away from the city centre of Leeds, and there were only 3 - count 'em - 3 double deckers ferrying people back and fore. Bit poo really, especially as I was well up for going out clubbing when we made our way from the site, but thoroughly knackered after waiting for an hour and a half for any form of transport to take us back to civilisation.
Sad that I missed Get Cape, Wear Cape, Fly - did anyone else see them? Were they any good?
