Whats that supposed to mean? You know I'm a muslim so you've decided to pick a fight with me? Is that it? If you've got a beef with me you old cunt why don't we take it to PMs and settle it like men, what do you say you?

You really shouldn't sit on the fence like that! :p

That fence in the background looks tempting. ;)

That L+L he's a swell guy, he can't possibly be hated by most of humanity can he?

(sorry couldn't resist! :D )

So what, that should be the basis of evicting someone from their house, because you're 'not in the habit of making things up' and your wifes a nurse??

As children are at risk I and my wife have no alternative but to go to the police. The council also needs to be informed as they have obligations under the 1996 housing act.
I make no apology for taking action against a drug user who has become a problem. (There is a vast difference between having a problem and being a problem).

Better watch yourself peppery. The Orange hued one does have a tendency to report posts he finds not to his liking. Bit of an arse licker if you ask me mate :)

Streak of piss? I reckon the squirmy tangerine could be doing with a decent wash if his photograph is anything to go by :D

I agree entirely toby but you have still not answered the initial question, which is;
" If the 'drug user who has become a problem" is a tennant, the government is saying they would wish to 'instantly evict'.
Would there be any difference if the 'drug user with a problem' was a house owner?
If yes then there is one law for a citizen and one for another in future Blairworld. Can that be just and democratic Tobyjug?

If I lived next door none at all.(In certain circumstances they could end up with their home being confiscated by the state).

I reckon we should invade/take over your house just for a laugh like toby.

How would you feel about that :)

It might be a tad more difficult to do than you think. I am prepared to kill to defend my home.

The switch away from habeus corpus to corpus juris has been alledged by EUskeptics for a while and been dismised as a myth.

Had some russian clients over last year who were shocked at the amount of survallience the average brit has to put up with on a day to day basis- so much so that in their haste to leave they almost accidently killed Jeremy Clarkson but I digress.

Presuming this goes ahead can one assume that in the interest of justice the accused [will that still be the correct word?] shall be given legal powers to collect CCTV footage, have full access to state collected data and the like so as to be able to defend themselves against the charge?

Blair tried to justify this affront to what is essentially a core of British identity on the basis that at present a police officer sees someone throwing a brick through someones window they are reluctant to persue there inquiries due to the large amount of paper work they would have to fill out. WHY DON'T THEY REDUCE THE AMOUNT OF PAPERWORK INSTEAD? - perhaps because this government's reaction to being confronted by too much beauracracy is to create a quango.

That has been my argument for many years. We don't need more police or laws, we need more enforcement and less paperwork.

If you think you could get any legal action taken by such a method you must be a complete fool.
(Especially if you tried it with me)

The original message in this thread said caught using drugs. Current law (1996 housing act) already allows councils to evict convicted drug users from council housing. In fact as the landlord a council is obliged by law not to let drug use knowingly happen in property they own.
The same legal obligation applies to householders and parents.

That has already been tried, and the people who tried it are still 18 years later regretting it.
