He's crap, isn't he? Why did I download that? No, I know why I downloaded it, because he's famous and I thought "maybe I'm missing something here I'd best have a listen". Competent but uninspired rapper, no good lyrics, and boring production. Why is there a fucking film about him?

It's true. Those that say he's better that Tupac don't know what they're on about. Tupac had style and even a bit of brains to talk about society and how he saw it...

Their styles are very different, it's more their lyrical content that struck me as similar. Biggy's stuff, though, just strikes me as incredibly inarticulate and humourless whereas Cube is a lot more sussed and, in some instances, even self-deprecating.

I used to be into hip-hop in a big way but totally lost interest when rapping about having lots of money, killing people and treating women like shit took over completely. I therefore missed all the hype surrounding Biggy and Tupac and have therefore never really got what people like about them. What little I've heard I've found pretty turgid in comparison to PE, Run DMC, BDP, Beasties etc.
