Done; pretty basic but does the job and can be improved upon. It's here: http://wapoc.com/windchaser/
That looks really good. I'm actually not on the right computer at the moment, I've got a slow connection and a weird shaped screen, so I'm gonna have to leave it til tuesday evening before I can check it out properly. I definately think I'll need to make all the pictures a standard size, ideally something that can all fit on the screen at once (unless that makes it too small to read).

That's really great of you for doing that though mauvais.

That does work better... it would be nice to have uniform sizes though for every page...
I'm gonna get that sorted. It didn't really matter before cos it would just shrink to fit the browser window.

I think that most of them are about the same size, its just the oldest ones I scanned in on different equipment.

I got as far as the start of ch2 with the snake picture, but then it stops? You need to update the site mauvais mangue has set up for you to make sure people stay with your story. Even if you've never done any web publishing at all, have a careful look at the instructions here in the thread and have a go at it.

Aye if you update the datafile thing I'll upload it. If you need any help/don't understand it then just ask.

heads back to the zen thread ;-(
Yeah, I tried to post the datafile up and it didn't work.

Couldn't have been like that for more than about thirty seconds, which means you're really fast.

Nothing's too small or too faint is it?

Incidently, do you or anyone else know of a fast way of converting a number of images to a certain size?

In all honesty, its not one of my favourites. I'm glad you like it though.

i do like it

and there is a fast way to convert images, but i cant remember what it is

firky or mauvais will know, they're quite savvy with that sort of thing.

(and no i dont think its too faint, it adds to the charm of the whole thing, as a body of work.)

All seems to work

As far as resizing goes, in Photoshop you can record an 'action' of resizing to a certain width or height and then run it as a batch. Easier to do than to explain. In Paint Shop Pro you can probably do the same.

If you have either then I can tell you what to do. They display alright for me but only cause I'm using some eye-destroyingly high resolution.

Great stuff Windchaser... what you going to do with them all when you've finished?
Well its a fair way off yet. I've done 2 1/2 out of 12 chapters, in about 18 months. I mean I'd love to get it all published, that'd be fantastic, but its a bit of a pipe dream. Alternatively I might just put the whole thing to one side and start a new one, or a companion to it which tells people where everything is from and what it all means.
