Not Owning a TV?

I haven’t had one since about 1991. I do have a DVD player. When I go to visit my parents who have every conceivable channel it is a luxury for a day or two. Then it gets very old.

One disadvantage that always annoys me is when people want to talk with me about TV shows even though they know I don’t have one.

No.

They have lots of DVD's, stuff that I download for them and exactly the same access to iplayer etc that I do, so for example my daughter watches a bit of CBeebies most days.

My son's usually too busy alternately building and smashing up LEGO CITY HQ :hmm: on the allotment, to be fucked watching telly anyway (which was already the case when the telly blew).

We have been watching Amazon together though  - and he'll sometimes watch a Secret Show or something before dinner.

So I don't think they suffer too much. :(

That sounds quite cool actually.

I reckon I'd just use telly to train my kids not to get me up in the morning! :o

Not had a telly* for 4 (or is it 5?) years and don't miss it at all.

I can watch all I want on BBCi or 4OD and take my pick of movies by torrenting them (unless I get caught again that is).

*well... I have one but no aerial just for DVD / Vids
