Not going near Lougborough Junction

I dont get it?? Ure telling me I need to get out a bit more after saying an area needs to be cleaned up as I went through it on a journey.

U dont make any sense

I think he is implying you have led a sheltered pampered life. :D

Sheltered Life? haha

I really cant believe what some of you are writing in regards to my post. I came out of a station at night and had a couple of obstacles, which you would expect in most places in london but all in one go.

Basically, I'm saying I think the area there is a shithole and the people who are defending it with such passion really need to realise that in contrast to other places in London it is pretty bad and also get more of a life.

O yes, and btw I have not ever lived a sheltered life at all, in fact I am most probably the complete opposite. About the drug thing aswell, I ment to say some drug addict and regarding my posts on the drugs bit, I just do really occasional weed with mates at parties or whatever.

My point - Loughborough Junction is a pit and needs to be sorted out

Phew :p

possibly people are taking offence at you going to an area you know nothing about once and then slagging it off

Well maybe, but I did spend most of my life living in Herne Hill and I hadnt been round Loughborough Junction way for about 5 years.

ahh i see, so you travel from whichever 'nice' place you live to LJ once and have a scary experience. this makes LJ a 'pit'. you then go onto a board frequented by people who LIVE in LJ and tell them its a pit. you dont offer any suggestion at all about how to improve it, you dont even want discussion about how other people see it.

and then you wonder why you get sarcastic replies.

so did you tell your mate who wasnt in that you wont be going back to visit again as he lives in a dump?? how did he take it?

lol - compared to thornton heath LJ is a vibrant bustling place with a massive community.

in my experience coming out of thornton heath stn is soulless.

Well I'm sorry but I thought I should say something just from an experience as I was on here.

My friend isnt on this and he wouldn't care, once he gets enough money hell be moving out. :)

Ok yes, I live more in Norbury really but Thornton Heath is bit like that, but surely you cant say that LJ is a nice place to live. I could easily get by in Brixton now but I don't know about LJ.

Well why not post about an experience to a board which has people who live around there. I was thinking that people would relate...

So you're hoping to generate sympathetic responses by slagging off a place where people here live?

Fuck me, you're a GENIUS :D

In my first post I did not slag off anywhere. :)

no, but then calling it a shithole and a pit wasnt exactly praising it was it.

the thing about LJ is that yes, it is a bit desolate in the evenings, and yes, it does look a bit empty. but the people who live there know different and maybe, just maybe, they know that its not the greatest place in the world from the outsiders perspective. i'm sure they'll be glad you reminded them of this.

i lived there for a year. (No . 175b) and i never felt better moving out to Peckham

The area is just neglected...it's a lot safer round there now than it use to be IMHO (I do frequent it occassionally as I have friends that live there).

I spent a lot of my formative years in fornton heaf.

It's like Brixton of old in many ways, takes a bit of getting to know.

The old sorting office on parchmore road would make a briliant squatted venue if anyone is interested.

hmmm...

this might not be a constructive reply, but I'm not keen on the area. I've lived in Brixton (Hill) for 4 years and the one time I felt like I was about to get into trouble was near Loughborough Jnct, I was walking back from the hospital after a bit of minor surgery and (stupidly perhaps) had my i-pod on, to relax after the treatment I'd had done, and these two horrible girls sized me up, one walking either side of me looking back staring at me and watching me etc. I just stoped at a bus stop where there were some other people and they crossed over. There is a vibe around there I feel, don't know, just don't like the 'feel' of the place much.

I miss Loughborough Junction. :( I miss south london. Holloway is the shit hole.
