He did Thameslink to King's Cross then Victoria Line.

How do you get to Moorgate on the Victoria Line from Kings Cross? Do you mean the Metropolitian/Hammersmith/Circle Line?

You could also get off the Thameslink one stop eariler at Farringdon and then it's only two stops along to Moorgate.

No, Victoria Line between Brixton and King's Cross, then Thameslink to Moorgate. I think I confused you by describing his return journey rather than the outward journey.

That would make sense! :)

This would apply only to South Wimbledon. If you move to any other part, the overground will get you to Waterloo in 15 minutes, much faster than any tube travel option.
Oh yeah, we're still looking in Wimbledon, I just mean we'll not look at places where the nearest tube is Northern line. It can be nearby as backup (if it's working  ) but we're not going to have it as our main route.

just got back from Paris [gloat] where the Metró rocks by comparison. They have:

- cheap travel, its only just over 1 euro to go any trip regardles of zone
- RER's, which are fast large trains intersecting the city on surburban routes only stopping four or five times through the city
- larger carriages
- doors which open before the train stops, allowing for comedy exits
- sting sections and bands which play in the corridors leading to the platforms
- rails which seem to carry trains without oing CLUNK CLUNK CRASH

The tube is slow, expensive, poorly maintained and rank.

Long live bikes!
