Norfolk ravers lay siege to police station.

and i've told you if you don't shutup then it'll be closer to your shed of a house next time ;)

Given the local anger about overnight noise having a disastrous effect on tourism in the past I think you might well get a reaction you really would not like. (No-one is going to waste their time calling the police for a start.)

One night of noise had a 'disastrous effect on tourism'. Give over :D

Three nights in a row, many B and Bs, campsites, caravan parks and hotels literally emptied of tourists. (Some of them were nearly bankrupted by it.

when "people" come down to Cornwall they tend to "stay" coz it took them so long to get here.

I know that when I first came down here with the Spirals et al...the majority stuck about for 2 weeks...I was bored after a week and left to go back up to Lundumb.

What's teh funneh is that the recent efforts result in two days of bopping after which most are tooo fucked to be arsed to stick around to sort their shit ...pack-up and fkk off.. lite_weights! :p

But anyways back to the current reports etc... baaasically I'd suggest that as a result of this scummage a LOT will be tarred with the same brush...bravo tossers!

But then I'm an Olde...wtf do I know? :D

aahh if he is on about Camelford last year then yeah that went on a few days :D

to be fair on the clearing up - i know from direct experience the police have made us leave a site while we were in the middle of clearing up. It makes nice headlines... 'OMG LOOK AT THE MESS'

Police rarely stop parties once in full swing - usually stop it before it's started.
Didn't a squat party in Manchester get brutally shut down by police while in fully swing about six months ago, hospitalising several revellers in the process?

There has just been a longish news item on BBC news 24 about the attack on the police station and the rave. Most of those involved looked like schoolchilden.
Personally I think someone is going to be in the very deep shit about this incident.

Not as big a cunt as whoever let a load of under 16's into an illegal rave.
If the plod can pin the organisation on anyone it will take a week to type out the charge sheet.

yeah but you said that last time didn't you and it still went off down there, so what you say don't count for shit seee :)

oh and no one 'lets' or doesn't let underage people on or off a party site as it is not their responsibility, seee

It very much is the responsibility of anyone who organises ANY event be it legal or illegal if anyone under 16 attends it. They have "a duty of care" of anyone under 16 that is far greater that the "duty of care" they have for adults attending.

Yes, hopefully they'll get suspended from duty.

It is hardly surprising the police are getting rigorous about this type of event and are not leaving things go after such an event, they are still arresting people a year down the road from one last year:-
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/essex/6954527.stm
A nationwide search is under way for 12 men wanted in connection with an illegal rave where 64 police officers and a sniffer dog were injured.
Since the rave on farmland at Great Chesterford near Saffron Walden in Essex on 25 August last year 24 people have been arrested.

Don't be surprised when people fight for their right to an undisturbed nights sleep then.

it's only fair after all.

it's very bad form to put on a party within earshot of locals IMO.

But what we're talking about here was on an industrial estate.

Tobyjug just wants to have a moan about raves in general  :D

damn right.

dunno about the specifics of this case but much as I love a good party I do think there's quite a lot of selfish twats putting them on and participating.

i know. i'm of the impression that a rave any nearer to human habitation than pitcairn would be considered impolite by him, but i'm quite happy with ind estates.

They had someone from the Norfolk police on radio 4 this morning who was being very forthright - something along the lines of "if this happens again we're going to get aggressive, and I mean really aggressive"
