I never caught the west wing how many series are there and is it worth it?

I just found the first five seasons of curb your enthuasim its a bit big without a taster but theres always the bin:)

also found dexter and carnival, that should keep me busy for a few months

You'll be happily busy for the next few weeks for sure! The west wing went on for a few seasons. I found it was good watching but started to peter out after season three or four. Curb Your Enthusiam - some of those episodes I've seen time and time again and still laugh. It's like a middle-aged rick Seinfeld but much much nastier :D Let me know what you think about Carnivale. Others I've recommended it to loved it. HBO was actually going to cancel it after the first season but there was a groundswell of petitions to keep it going.

Scrubs.
Heroes.
Lost.
Oz (although it scared my weak sensibilities).
Sunset Beach (stop laughing).
Homicide: Life on the Streets (best.show.evah.evah.evah.).
Law & Order (Spin offs from homicide - all have at some point featured Munch :D ) (I too *heart* D'Onofrio).
ER (early series).
Roseann.
Buffy & Angel.
Frasier.
Cheers.
That 70s Show.
CSI (Las Vegas).
X-Files (and of course The Lone Gunman).
Twin Peaks.
Seinfeld.

I'm sure there are loads of others I can't think of at the moment. I used to be a total American-TV junkie. Not so much now - but I do seem to be going through a phase of watching an hour of Scrubs on Paramount Comedy every day.

I got distracted by Ideal with johnny vegas fucking ace:D

cartoon head on acid at the end of series one:D

My Name Is Earl is IMO one of the best US comedy series ever.
Dexter was quite possibly the best thing on telly in the entire history of telly.
Criminal Minds I really enjoy, if you like that sort of thing it's great.
I am getting frustrated with Lost now, but I can't stop watching it. I may miss the episode where any of it makes sense and we couldn't have that!
