I find it witty, intense, often quite soothing (depends on the track) or challenging. It's experimental music, same as a lot of the stuff you like (but better ).

The comparisons you've made aren't very valid - merzbow is exploring the limits of noise / frequencies etc, whereas TG engaged in songs of a form, and had a much broader palette.

And Whitehouse were and remain pathetic little shock junkies who's 'power electronics' now sounds as threatening as Rod, Jane & Freddy

I can't believe Orang mentioned Merzbow/Whitehouse in the same breath as TG...It's so completely different.

Whitehouse are shit. Literally. Shitting on stage for shock value is not my idea of a good gig.

And don't get me started on what soundtrack Merzbow put with Gen's excellent words (which appeared on much better GPO records previously) on 'a perfect pain'

What he's doing is called Pandrogeny. It's a project where he wants to appear as male and female so there is no judgement based on image. Him and his wife are attempting to blur the edges of reality by becoming twins.

Well I don't really have a problem with that, I have a single name for all music I don't like as well, it is called pop and I put R&B in there as well. My mum call everything from Cabaret Voltaire to Rotterdam Terror Corps via Jumpstyle and all Techno Washing machine music, sometimes broken Washing machine music.

People can generaize music in what ever way pleases them, I personally favour micro genraization (sic), if at all possible producing genres such sureal analogue synthacide that holds maybe a total of 8 tracks I've ever heard and a complete cannon on maybe ten times.
