The comparisons you've made aren't very valid - merzbow is exploring the limits of noise / frequencies etc, whereas TG engaged in songs of a form, and had a much broader palette.

Well I don't really have a problem with that, I have a single name for all music I don't like as well, it is called pop and I put R&B in there as well.
