I'd half expected he'd jack it in just because things were getting too depressing (it did look like he was hitting genuine exasperation with the world on last year's review.)

But apparently he *was* working on this year's one, but ran out of time. Fair enough, Black Mirror has gone way beyond anything I think he expected. But I still wanted my miserabilist end of year show. *shakes fist*

Recent ones have been shit.

The early Screenwipes were fantastic, informative television. Money, happy families, fuck - American awards - have put paid to that. That episode where he laughed along with the yanks who believed British police docs were slow and boring because noone was getting shot at was probably the end. That stupid hairdo on Ten O'Clock Live didn't help, either.
