Thats crazy. Here in Asia, ESPN and Star Sports broadcast loads of premiership game over the week, the full games and have every single live game shown on Sky.

I can watch more football here than I can in the UK, even if I had sky.

Yes, I don't even have satellite here in china, I just have local cable, which includes CCTV5 (a free national sports channel, which showed saturday's england game) and Wuhan TV5, which shows games direct from ESPN. Although for some reason Wuhan 5 doesn't show some Sunday Premiership games.

Getting satellite TV is quite difficult/expensive in China though. You tend to have to go to a bar to watch Star Sports! Or use certain illicit methods...

Didn't have any inclination to drag myself to the pub to watch an overhyped qualifier - and was glad for it

Haven't seen a single piece of footage from the game - and am glad for it

These internationals just get in the way of proper football - not even any Championship games

I like to watch international football tournaments during the summer but from August to May I couldn't give a toss about "Sven and his boys".

to be fair the bbc are fucking idiots.

Didn't even bid for the crciket and they have the rights to show england match highlights but didn't for some daft reason.

The bbc don't give a flying fuck about sports and haven't done for ages.

Any of you guys tried PPLIVE or COOLSTREAMING? They're tiny programs that stream (mostly chinese) sports channels accross the internet.You just select your channel you want to watch and it'll stream through VLC or Mediaplayer.They work on the same principle as bit torrent so the more people watching the better the quality.If you want to stick it up SKY and you've got a good connection they're well worth the download.
