No more Planet Angel....

Actually could nip on over to this after 'How Does it Feel...' - nowt like a good juxtaposition of genres..

Is chilled off the menu for the mo as well?
I've never been to a PA event but always plan to. :o

The trance room was always too soppy for me but the second room had been storming for the last year or so. Sad to see it go.

As to why, well, there's been no official line on it, but I wouldn't be surprised if it had something to do with a certain actvity that goes on in nightclubs, that isn't dancing...it used to really annoy me actually, the amount of PA goers who would get the hump when told not to smoke a jazz fag in the Arches.
. . .

Huh? I thought security was always pretty reasonable there. As long as you were discreet it wasn't a problem.

Anyone else who like PA will probably like Edensounds, which has attracted a similar type to PA (and the odd short, pop record playing dj type). It's at Jamm, and generally has a strong hands in the air trance thing going on, but mercifully caters to other things like dnb and breaks...PA alternative? here's a linky,

Ha looks like a bunch of bloody messheads :D

Where do you sign up ;)

"The 5 Rhythms map describes a shamanic journey. It starts with freeing the body (Waves) and moves through the landscapes of releasing the heart (Heartbeat), ceremony (Patterns in the Sand/Snow), freeing the mind and soul retrieval (Cycles and Mirrors), and arrives in what Gabrielle describes as The Silver Desert, or the home of the spirit. It is a radical journey which demands a total marriage of spirit and flesh, of the energy and the physical bodies, of poetic freedom and pragmatic action."

You have got to be fucking kidding me!

What a load of meaningless pseudo-hippy wank.

Most of them are....edensounds used to have it's parties at the 491 in Leytonstone. The midsummer one started at mid-day on the saturday and was still going strong at about midday the next day. Now that was messy!

There's going to be drums and bass as well as trance-y nonsense, and that Tequila Slammer dj bloke will now go down in history as the bloke to play the last ever tune at PA (at the Arches at least) which was a Pendulum tune!

AND edensounds is only a fiver. Even if the music doesn't amuse you non-stop, it'll be a decent enough party..

Oh, and Hollis, I've checked with my mates who really know psy-trance, and apparently Snafu is proper bouncy, hands in the air type psy-trance, and these people really know their psy-trance.

Ah! I might have heard them then.. as I've been along to afew 'up-in-the-air' evenings at 491. - V. good.

The drum and bassheads simply don't know what they're missing...

I seem to remember the venue people at the Arches being really twatty about the rugs issue when another promotion I know used the place a couple of times.

Haven't been to a PA party for over a year. I do hope they find somewhere else soon. I am sure that they will.

Giles..

Yeah...and they recently changed security and put all sorts of sneaky cameras in the venue too, so be warned if you are heading to the Arches!
