2) i can play it, but i cant 'realistically' play it as i need to spend 5 minutes attackling it with a pair of pliars to take the cable out before i take it out the house so its not very ergonomical

Update: Ordered a black one from here (softuk.com) on Friday and delivered yesterday - well it would have been had I been in to accept it. I used a vouchercode 'Softukhotdeals' and got it for £93 (7% off) but I've seen a new code today 'Broadband' for 15% off - £85.
I'll post again if a box full of sand is delivered.

That's a good price! I paid full price €150 for mine, but it is so lovely I take it to work with me, even though I don't get a chance to play with it all day, just do I can look at it occasionally.

Hmm... been delivered but I notice it's a US version. Does anyone know what difference this makes?


ETA Just googled and found all DS are region free anyway so NTSC can play PAL games or vice-versa etc. Not sure about warranty issues though.

Well, they sent a UK one with it so it's all good. Also received an R4 from ^Himself today and everything is fine (thanks ).
It's for my son's birthday next week and he hasn't a clue he's getting it, nor what an R4 is or does. His dog pissed on his last DS and killed it some time ago so he's going to be made up I hope
