Nine inch Nails?

"self-indulgent and egotistical" - sounds like coke to me! :D

The new one is a lot less "pop" than 'With Teeth' - probably some of his nassstiest noises since 'The Downward Spiral'

Quiet like them but far from a regular listen.
Saw them live at Glasto 2000 and not a bad set.

I think that Trent Reznor is a pretty good musician and producer. Natural Born Killers is one of my favourite film soundtracks.

I liked NIN's earlier stuff a lot, Pretty Hate Machine, Broken and Downward Spiral, but most stuff after that seems to lack in pace, though there are some inspired moments. Would be great to see live I think if they've still got the same intensity as to begin with. I have to be in a certain good buzzy mood to listen to this band, but they're certainly one of my favourites from the 90's.

I still get tracks off Pretty Hate Machine stuck in my head regularly, and I havent listened to them for years.

Great band live!! Might check out the new stuff actually.

Love Nin. The stuff on Pretty Hate Machine is not their best.

I like the album With Teethe. It's dark yes but it has some great tracks in my opinion.

The new stuff is a lot like a mixture of the old Ghosts ambient stuff, mixed with a lot of drone and deffo influenced from his film scores, but is good if you like things like The Social Network soundtrack etc. You can deffo tell its NIN from the piano sound.

Im only halfway through. No guitars.

It's also 2 and a half hours long

Always found them total dirge, and dislike virtually everything they've ever done.

With one exception, I rather like 'The Hand That Feeds' - refreshingly free of all the usual NIN cod-rock/goth, and a tune I can actually dance to.

The freebie won’t download for me.

I’ve always been a pretty big fan though. They had some stuff I was a bit meh about but the downward spiral, the fragile, and still I love

Actually I dont seem able to....anyone else managed it?
I had to wait a while for the email confirmation but after a bit of faffing, a phone conversation with my son and an explanation of the mechanics of zipped files that i don't remember I finally got it to work, will listen properly tomorrow but liked the bits I sampled that had a dissonant ambiance to them.

I got the email confirmation! But when click on the actual download bit it takes me to a page to process my payment and the little wheel constantly spins......its broke I think. I'll try again.
