i've got this (a different release i think, different cover), but can heartily recommend it. her version of 'house of the rising sun' is amazing. i'd love to hear it played out in a discoteque or dance hall...
You have to read the sleevenotes about 'my mans gone' but it's also got house of the rising sun on it.

Nina Simone was fucking amazing. Brilliant musician, a voice from the gods, wrote some great passionate songs and was 100% soul. She was also heavily invovled with the civil rights movement and was royally fucked by the record industry - in her later years she attempted to redress the balance by marching into a recording comapny exec meeting with a handgun.
