NIESR shows up immigration lies of state and left ..

Are you now suggesting that 'open borders' has been adopted by the right wing?

No.Im suggesting it has always been a right wing policy. They believe in the free movement of capital and labour. They are against what they see as unneccesary regulation. For reasons of political opportunism some of them come out as anti immigration but that flies in the face of the rest of their political views.

Nobody's talking about the role of the trade unions here. Thee TGWU seem to be taking the idea of organising Polish workers seriously - appointing Ewa Jasiewicz
she fucking rocks :)

sorry that was a bit random, but she does.

" trade unionists getting their feet under the table..." ???? is this wrong????
I'd say so.

That the unions are more interested in entering into partnerships with businesses than being institutions through which workers organise in order to fight to improve their conditions speaks volumes about the nature of contemporary unions.

The (what they call) highly influential National Institute for Statistics and Economic Research has finally given us the 'impartial' stats that the left on urban have tried, against all the evidence, to deny for so long

.. that the current wave of immigration for cheap labour is having a MATERIAL effect on the w/c in terms of unemployment

.. it estimates that AT LEAST 100,000 of recent unemp0loyed can be put down to the bosses impporting cheap labour ..( there is also another stat circulating that labour day rates have fallen from £80 to £40 in the southeast at the same time .. i am not sure whether it is from the same report )

immigration the report says, is, as the capitalists always point out, 'good for the economy'!! unfortunately so called leftists do not seem to understand that what is good for the country is not good for the w/c!!

it is also interesting that the liberals of the guardian do not mention the effect on employment in their review!! well i guess it doesn't effect the likes of them!! nor do the scum at the Mail mention that is the scumy boss's who so like their paper, that are so keen on employing cheap labour as opposed to organised labour that is the cause of this

Yes and its shameful how some unions have cosied up to the bosses free market agenda on migration.
Are they not supposed to be looking after their members interests not their members bosses interests?

it is typical you confuse TUists with TUs and their bureacracies ... it is not possible in this society to support workers and NOT deal with management ..w/c people can not live without the mundane day to day and written agreemenst that TUs negotiate .. rev TU goes beyond this but to deny it is too be irrelevent .. i guess you are a shop steward?

I know of alot of guys that grew up in poland
Can get fuck all work that pays above £40 a day, when a few years ago they could take home £9.75 for 10hrs

I'm talking about guys that always worked in the past but weren't able to have real life living in poland on the wages being given out.

And no one gives a fuck ,and if they try to improve their lot by moving abroad they get branded as unwelcome.

ah well sucks to be working class and foreign

Fuck the English workers then eh?
