I was reading through the economic part of their 2005 manifesto. I couldn't believe the horse shit I was reading from a political party that wants us to take it seriously. But that's just it - it wants to focus the dummies that don't care about economic policy on one central issue (immigration). Stop/reverse immigration and the natives will all magically be better off in the pocket. Appeal to the hatred and resentment and forget about everything else.

I wonder what would happen if this bunch of crazies ever got into power. Probably a total economic meltdown as they sit their totally out of their depth.

I doubt if the BNP will ever get into power in the same way the fascist parties gained power in the 20's and 30's just as a party like the SWP will never come top power in a re-run of the Bolshevik revolution of 1917. The most probable scenaro is that they could come is a some very junior coalition partner of a wider Right Bloc like Fini's National Alliance in Italy. But even then they would have to water down their policies even further and it would take an earthquake in British politics and remember that the UK isn't given to political earthquakes.

The danger in the hear-and-now of parties like the BNP is they skew everything right-wards and give cover for the establishment parties to enact ultra reactionary legislation on things like immigration.
