Actually I'm now getting quite excited about it even though I've never listened to NIN for ten years. I sorta know the guitarist and for some reason have ended up trying to help keep their support band amused for the 3 weeks they're in the UK as Ladytron are doing the supports here.
They've got a record out on Buddyhead (of buddyhead.com fame) which is just a little label run by Aaron the NIN guitarist which he set up in his days as lead lunatic in The Icarus Line. I got them a show at the Windmill on Tuesday but they're looking for more. Kinda grime-pop; bit of industrial in there, some Joy Division, some punk. Also the tallest band I've met in some time..giants of men.
Hey I've just hijacked a Pete Doherty thread! For a good cause!
ha ha..noticed that and NIN isn't quite as good a diversion as On The Fucking Buses...good work
I look forward to more Doherty threads.
Incidentally and getting back on topic for a second I got a press release for some shows he's doing and it seems he's officially known as Peter Doherty.
Last time that happened was when Andy Cole (one time football star) overnight became Andrew Cole.
You may remember he also had a major label record deal. Nobody cared.
