next craft club meet up

sorry have been away for a while* with deadlines and whatnot...

but we have a date - yay! will bring some eastery things... is PieEye still doing the vodka infusing?

She's offline because of work - I haven't got her mobile # anymore but she said to call her about craft/knitting things if we have them so if anyone has it can they get in touch with her?

I shall still infuse if I can afford wodka by then, eme :)

my phone got nicked yesterday in paris ..... years of no problems in brixton!!! one day in paris and some blighter's buggered off with my rubbish worthless pay as you go mobile :rolleyes: i've learned quite a few new french swearwords. not found any yarn shops yet but it's only a matter of time!!! :D
 
That's so lame!

Same thing with me and Barca! Years in Brixton and then suddenly I was haemorrhaging (sp?) posessions in Spain :mad:
 
monday is firmly in my diary..it be nice to bring some easterly things..

i saw lovely easter branches in berlin...would be nice to have one myself. i think it is not the best idea to brew vodka over easter though...is that not the day jesus resurrected? i would really feel bad :rolleyes:
 
I emailed the Mosaic place to get some more info if anyone is interested in checking them out sometime. They seem to have several community projects on the go eg they've been commissioned to make 50 hexagonal stepping stones for Hatfields Gardens and they're looking for people to design and make them. It's unclear whether they're looking for established designer/makers or keen amateurs though.. :confused:

I met someone in Borough Market who was buying armfuls of rhubarb. It was an unusual sight to see someone so passionately fond of rhubarb so I asked him what he intended doing with it ...and he told me it was for infusing in vodka ...apparantly delicious. Beats crumble, I guess..
 
i would be rather interested in the idea of moasicy stuff. If other people get enthused by the process, the idea of some mosaicy stuff in my garden fills me with a lovelly warm feeling.
 
Just to say that I'll definitely be coming on Easter Monday, with goodies in tow.

I was in Paris yesterday too! And I found a yarn shop :p (It's in the marais near to the place des vosges, they had some bargain mohair and some slinky silk yarns but I didn't buy anything as bf looked as though he was about to cry with boredom)

Thanks eme for remembering me - do you normally dance at Viva Cake things? I was at 93 feet east when they were having one the other month, I would have looked for you!

I am free on Easter Monday so I'll see most of you there - what vodka flavours will we make? I have a very effective if slightly gross method for flavoured vodka for anyone too impatient to let it infuse the 'natural' way.
 
oooh I'm moving from Belleville to the Marais today so I'll check it out!

I'm definitely up for mosaic making - sounds excellent!

Personally if I'd been crucified and resurrected three days later I'd definitely appreciate some infused vodka!

not sure - prolly best to text/call someone and see when you get back to London. If the weather is good and we are in the garden with our little barbeques then I reckon it could be but it's Gaijingirl's shout at the end of the day :)

There's every chance it will still be going on in the evening, at least early evening anyway - I was just going to let it take it's natural course - unless it looks like it's turning into some kind of all night rave meets squat party type affair! :D I'll pm you my mobile no too!
