The ironic thing about Boumsong is that Houllier wanted to buy him for Liverpool a couple of years ago then changed his mind. Then Boumsong got a fractured scull (or similar) and was out of the game for a few months.

It appears he has never re-found his form. Going to Rangers probably didn't help though.
