Newbie....

Well I'm actually directly on the A205 - Streatham Place, opposite the McDonalds (classy location!)

So I'm on the join between Brixton Hill and Streatham Hill, and just choose to associate myself with Brixton rather than Streatham ;)

Right next to the Crown and Spectacle then.

Hm, I'm afraid you can't pick and choose what you are, and you LadyR, are a St Reathamite :p

but we might let you join the Brixton Hill gang ;)

Do you mean you're on the outer side of the South Circular?

If so, I'm afraid you're not allowed to post in the Brixton Forum, or associate yourself with Brixton Hill.

Oh, I see Kanda and MtM have beaten me to it.

:hmm:

Lucky I'm not a civil servant...

yet

don't get me wrong, most of the civil servants I've worked with (including myself!) work really hard for not much money at all.....I'm just painfully aware that lots of people have the impression that we just sit about doing nothing all day!

but you do realise the difficulty we have here don't you. There's a few on these boards from Streatham. If too many people come from Streatham, they'll be demanding their own forum.

Maybe we could have a tug-of-war with the St Reathamites?

Ah...wasn't aware those few yards of road meant I'd be barred from this forum

Opposite McDonalds is Streatham!! Begone! :D:D
Correct. Kanda can't afford to associate with you, he's already practically Streatham.

Incorrect. She's too nice for her own good.

Correct. You can post on the transport forum though.

They can have their own forum if they want, as far as I am concerned.

At least then we know where they are.

Contain and control.

But I like the idea of a tug-of-war. We would have the advantage* as we'd be going downhill. They'd have to stop the traffic on the south circular though.

*Also, apparently quimcunx can lift a man ten times her own weight. So she would probably be quite good at tug-of-war.

Poor LadyR

Being kicked out already :(

LadyR - you may have noticed some of the trees on Brixton Hill looking a bit sorry for themselves. This is where quimcunx and teuchter have pissed on them to mark their territory ;)

In fact, they got so carried away, one of them even fell down a few weeks ago

Yeah it's a really handy bus that one. Or if I'm working at the Houses of Parliament I hop on the 159.

Yep, that used to be my regular bus when I worked in Whitehall. Unfortunately I'm now the Westminster end of Victoria Street so get a tube to St James's Park nowadays :(

Haha! I don't scare that easily! I'll still be hanging around - I'm damned if I'm going to be kicked off here for the sake of a few lanes of traffic!

For what it's worth, I haven't actually even ventured into Streatham yet!

There's always the 133 as well if there's no 159 or No. 3 in sight. That'll take you to Elephant where you can then get buses over the River

One of the trees fell down? Or quimcunx fell down?

It should probably be noted that once I've lifted the man ten times my own weight I can't do much other than put him down again.

I can carry a full, 22litre bottle of pure, spring, not-from-a-tap water up 3 flights of stairs though. Or at least I did once.
