But seriously, the golden age of squat parties is over. Can't remember the last one I went to that was really any good. And I stand by the mugging comment. I took our rig out to a squattie in Park Royal that was over-run by muggers. One girl got a brick to the head as she left and I had to stay with my rig 100% of the time (even then I had headphones nicked )

Apart from the year before last being in one room / massive freezing shed I've really enjoyed every single NYE multirigger I've ever been to.

And I'll be enjoying this year's too.

I would start by advising you not to go to Southend.

sadly it's the only place we're playing at on the day so it's not really an option

i know what you mean, only underground of the underground events can really work these days. Even long time squat peeps i know rarely get involved in big multiriggers. The audience has changed too as well.

I'm sad that the last really good party i went to was umm............last year's Unsound NYE, shocking really.
