Possibly because some of the vocal types on the Left are just a looney, two faced and lacking in values as those on the right?

Certainly, but we do live in an era where its understandable to be cynical about all groups, whether the elite or groups on the left or right. When people are able to overcome that and back a side, it may be down to political beliefs, but could be about their use of language or other attributes not directly linked to their political position.

I dunno, Im just looking for explanations of why the right may sometimes be attractive to those who are not right-wing. If its because their stuff may be new to the beholder and hasnt yet been soiled by bitter personal experience, then thats a concern.

An era doomed due to imbalances of capital, carbon and cynicism? Doomed to repeat the mistakes of the past again, to learn the lessons the hard way again? Oh great. We got educated and learnt how stupid we are, yet are powerless to prevent it? We got information that we didnt want to absorb, that told us we are reckless, lost & self-enslaved, but all we could do was pedal faster? Or go searching for a new way to frame our struggles?

Waiting for the worms to come, and all we've done for decades is prepare the soundtrack.

I remember a guy over here saying to me, the reason people who get fucked over by the republicans continue to vote for them, is what he calls "Lottery syndrome". They have this belief that one day they will be millionaires too, and that by voting democrat/left/liberal they are voting for their dream to be taken away, and to be punished when they hit the big time (of course I'm sure 99% never do hit this big time).

I think that probably is one aspect to the 'American Dream' but how big an effect it has overall Ive no idea.

Another reason why Im going to shout especially loudly about right wing goofs in this era of Obama is the apparent rise in right-wing extremism in America, and certain right-wingers getting all foamy at the mouth about their 'patriotic boys' being labelled terrorists:

To be honest I think that guy was just a nut like that Copeland chap. A lot of those right wingers are keyboard warriors who are too busy tugging off over O'Reilly and their Hummer to be of any kind of threat to anybody.
