Well in defense of Vampire Diaries, and it's the only thing I can say in it's defense, it is based on books from nearly 20 years ago. Long before Twilight, Sookie Stackhouse or Buffy, they even pre-date the Buffy movie.

I think I probably saw that scene once or twice, I was about 11 or 12 when it was first on TV. Either then or during a repeat me and a friend watched it and thought it was the most fucking hilarious thing ever and repeated it over and over for weeks. It's stuck in my mind

Haha I just remembered when Robyn cops off with a visitor and gets pregnant with twins. Her waters break green and when they hand over the human looking baby and say "It's a girl!" this little forked tongue darts out and they have to sedate her

So no I wouldn't fight them, I'd breed with them for comedy gold.
