Yes, that is real.

Right, well I'm definitely going to see this magnificent beast.
And have a glass of champers
And a pint

And meet whoever else comes :)

I don't know what you're talking about

:p

I wasn't wondering that at all, no siree. I knew it was from an emu, but you reckoned it couldn't be cos there were no pick-up shoes! Whoever heard of pick up shoes on a TSO??

Many Deltic enthusiasts turned their faces away from D9016 when it emerged from Brush Loughborough in 1999 painted in full Porterbrook mauve livery with the Porterbrook name. During the refurbishment work as a partnership by owners Deltic 9000 Ltd and Porterbrook, new Group Standard head, marker and tail light clusters were fitted above each buffer. No. 9016 is seen at Brush. After this picture was taken, when the loco was returned to the main line a serious fire developed in the power unit and by the end of 2001 the loco remained out of service dumped at Crewe.

kind of like the deltic was saying fuck you

Timings for 7th February are now up. Here.

The train is booked to arrive at King's Cross at 1347.

So, if people still fancy going along to see it, meet up at St Pancras an hour or so beforehand...? :)

I'd imagine if you want to actually see it you'll need to be at Kings Cross pretty early, it's gonna be rammed with bobble hats and thermos flasks :D

Yep, I'm still planning on going. :)

I vote for meeting in the Betjeman Arms at 1200ish.

Anyone else in? :)

I'll be there whatever :)

(If anyone is coming who doesn't know me, approach every 61 year old with a silver-topped cane :) )

See you there Roadie.
