Which kit do you prefer? (Totally unofficial poll)

  1. The sash one (aka Crystal Palace)

  2. The non sash one with the Hitler H (apparently)

Vote vote vote! (For the correct option which is clearly *not* the red stripe palace knock off)

The right one is more correct. Why was this not a poll of just me?

People that will know about kit design. Can the badge of the correct one be moved into the pink in the middle and the sponsor centralised in the middle of the blue.

Does anyone know what the pattern on the back of these options is?

The reason I ask is that I know the one on the right has more pink on it and is more correct and historic and less Palace (and quite a few others) and so on... But, just step back and look at it - it's also a big "H". Is it also the same pattern on the back? Because if it is the kit will be two big "H"s - in other words "HH"... If the pattern is not replicated on the back (and from the small view of the back of the short at the bottom of the graphic it seems it might not be the case), then great. But if it is replicated... Well we might have a whole set of new fans pitching up that we don't want.

I have no animus towards Palace. So for me the diagonal one is a beauty and the number 18 shirt won't attract neo-Nazis.

Problem with number one is that there is too much dark blue, which is too close to black. The referees in the Isthmian league only wear black, so clubs are told to avoid a clash (not sure about the National League).

There were countless occasions when we 'passed' to the ref this season. One game, the ref got three touches... although they were all quite favourable ones to us (as the lino commented afterwards).

So, it has to be the second one... Although, I do quite like the first design.

Genuinely lolling that people think design 2 could be neo-nazi.

    We're a parody of ourselves.

Yeah. On reflection I may have over/under-thought this!
Can I change my objection to "it looks like rugby posts and rugby fans are ever worse than neo-Nazis" instead?

Neo-Nazis don't tend to like pink, so we should be ok.

It's got to be the sash (for Ash).

As we cant have the famous 70's tram lines this season (very retro - very disco)

I am loving the clean lines of the slash design - and should point out that other Clubs pre Palace had sash design

The National team of Peru adopted a red sash for the Berlin Olympics in 1936 and have retained it ever since. The idea for the diagonal red stripe came from River Plate Football club (from Argentina, who adopted it in when the club was established in 1901)

Then again a number of clubs from Victorian times in Britain had diagonal sash, Chirk (Wales) formed in 1876 for which the legendary Billy Meredith once played, also Annbank, Pollock Shields, Shankhouse Black Watch, st Marys Newcastle

As someone who lived in a loyalist area of Belfast I love the sash.

    Only joking, it looks hideous.

The only problem with this being a public vote: I can imagine quite a few non-DHFC fans "loving" the sash.
I mean - if it was Tooting I'd defo be bumping up the nastiest kit!
    Like the sponsor though :)

In my humble opinion sashes work best on away kits when the club's two primary colours are used on a plain shirt, something like...

Edit: but what do I know about kit design?
