Just cos you don't understand student - when you grow up let me know.:p

It's the smallest left, the remnant of the SA. That's why you didn''t hear about it -i t means and is fuck all. Stop looking at the left. The answer isn't with the left. You've got to make your mind up treelover.

Incidentally here is the list of affiliates/groups/supporters the Socialist Alliance has;

Branches, affiliates and supporters:

Alliance for Green Socialism
Bedfordshire SA
Brighton
Bristol
Coventry & Warwickshire SA
Leeds
London and South-East SA
Merseyside SA
Newcastle
Revolutionary Democratic Group
Rugby Red-Green Alliance
Southampton SA
Swindon SA
Walsall Democratic Labour Party

Far far more impressive than anything HitlersApron or Oxford IWCA can muster...

Your kidding me right? The Southampton SA became Respect as far as I know (after they got well and truly hamered by the BNP!!)unless Southampton SA is a bloke I saw sitting on a park bench talking to himself.........

I lifted that from the main SA website - you will have to take it up with them. I suspect they split, some became respect some stayed SA (or retired and came out of the woodwork again).

They probably disappeared. The left in Southampton is pretty dismal to be honest.

"SOCIALIST PEOPLES PARTY OF BARROW gained seats [in 2008] as did a local ANTI-ACADEMY SCHOOLS GROUP"...

The People's Party Furness or Socialist People's Party are a local splinter of councillors from Labour in Barrow. They now have exactly the same number of councillors as they did when they first resigned from the Labour Party in 1996 - four. They represent just two wards. It's good but not exactly earth-shattering.

The anti-academy group quite explicitly stood as independents and are opposed to party politics. They also have representation from two wards - the two where local schools are to be closed to make way for an academy. Again, it's good but not earth-shattering.

True - but the point of this thread is that these experiments in different left politics are occuring all over the country, and nobody has mapped the extent of them so far. Hopefully this thread can become a repositry of popular knowledge of these attempts.
