And Oliver is comming to live with the hamster awwwww:D
bet it's met by clarkson at bristol docks and then turned into some kind of one of their car bodges nd subisqunetly wreaked upon which hammond will be livid...

Yes, that's what I was thinking.
Or it'll 'fall' off the boat on the way. Filmed of course.

I might actually cry if they do. (unless Hammond's in on the stunt, of course.)

he'll be in on only inso far as it'll be done with him witnessesing it...

prepare yourself to cry then...

The bike thing was ace - and Hammond's pretty fit I reckon (as in able to do sports, not tasty)...altho I'd love to take a boat like that up the Thames...

Love It! The more they have to think up new features not done before, the more bizarre it becames, and the more entertaining it is.

Loved filling the cars up with water - i'm sure thats not been done before!

I was hoping one of them would have an MG when they said they were doing Leyland cars tonight, although it's hard to find one for the budget they had. I thought it would be Clarkson actually as *not so fascinating fact alert* he used to be an MG enthusiast when he was a young upstart journo and at one time wrote for the MG owners club magazine...

That was very funny last night. I don't know why but the bits falling off the cars on the bumpy road made me laugh more than anything else this year.

Last night was a first, when Clarkson got humiliated. I only watch it for everytime Clarkson gets humiliated ( ie losses a race ). That and the races. Some of it has been absolutely hilarious in the past. I cite the:

-The carravaning one
-The driving the amphibious cars into the resevoir one
-The making of the convertable people carrier one

All classic TV.
I missed the end of the London race because some f**kwitt set off the fire alarms in the Halls of residence where I was staying at the time.

awww I've loved Lewis him all year  and I was really nervous about this

but awww int'he fantastic

I'll now point anyone who says that Lewis isn't as good as people have been saying to that episode.

To do that time, in those conditions, was phenomenal.

James Blunt in 'actually quite funny' shocker :D

And how quick was baby Lewis?

I am coming to think that James Blunt's 'prat' image is just a pose to sell records and get people into his gigs. He just has a squeeky voice and has to go with it. He is probably very calculating and knows how to make money. He was very sharp witted in the show. He also did well with driving the car around the track and obviously loves speed. He tried to talk about his motorbike but Clarkson moved the topic on, it being a car show.

I still won't be listening to him sing though.

Lewis is the bollocks isn't he? I don't think he was really trying...he's just naturally gifted and knows how to push to a car's limit. His lap was  reckon he'll have The Stig in the dry.

I liked the F1 driving as well....8 anti-stalls and then his commentary when he opened the throttle :D :D

Re: Filling cars up with water
Clarkson did a similar thing in one of his Straight to DVD numbers, but using a 80's era Jaguar XJ & a Lincoln Town Car, to demonstrate the difference in U.S as opposed to European build quality....
Basically, he put a bowser hose in each of the car's open sunroof, & proceeded to fill them up with water, to determine panel/door fit, & hence build quality, by the amount of leakage from the passenger compartment....
The Jaguar leaked as expected, while in the case of the Lincoln Town Car, they ran out of water, as it was running out of the car, as fast as they were pumping it in....

Aye, it was very impressive. I thought lap was good, but to set a time like that in the wet...

Cant believe the price they paid for those crappy cars:eek:

Because they're all pretty rare these days. The Austin Princess was a monstrosity of a car, but the Triumph Dolomite and Rover SD1 are regarded as classics these days, and good ones go for four-figure sums.
