New series of Top Gear

What an advert for Botswana.
The place looked fantastic. :cool:

And I loved the Vice-President flying in on that parachute thing to see what they were up to. :D

Hammond names his cars. Isn't he just adorable. :D

I think I prefer it when they mix up the 'adventure' bits with the normal show.
I agree! I kept expecting them to switch back to the studio. It was still good though.

Loved the quick solution for draining the water out, looked like he was trying to put the cars out of their misery!

I liked how clarkson's claim that 'all cars should have no doors' soon bit him in the arse when he hit that duststorm :D

Coz they're awful ugly cars, with the engine in the wrong place, that rust away in the blink of an eye?

<dons flameproof suit>

:D

Oh but they're so very cute.

<understeers off road into tree>

:D

I've enjoyed some of this :eek: (been watching it on 'Dave', I assume it's the new series?) - my son likes watching it. Bits I've enjoyed so far include:

car/boat race across the Channel - surely some of the best tv this year!
Clarkson driving the smallest car in the world around the BBC corridors

:cool:

of course I'll look like an idiot if this is from a previous series... Hammond's fluffy highlighted hair looked positively eugh!!!!!!!!!

Me too. I like to see the testing of the new model cars, and the 'real' stig on the track, and the driver in the reasonably priced car, etc, etc. :(

Re:Iemanja's comment
No, you have been watching the current series of Top Gear on BBC 3, although Dave & Dave +1, if you have Sky Digital, have been repeating earlier series (7 & 8 ?)....
As for hammond's current hairstyle, I feel it's not as bad as Capt.Slow's....

I quite like Hammaonds hair :o and I quite like Top Gear. I live in a house full of males so there's not much choice about having it on but I find myself sitting down to watch some of it now.

going back to this since when has a tv studio been a public place???

They metioned this the following week.
" ....a hysterical woman from some hysterical organisation - got thin lips, takes her own packed lunch to work - you know the sort, has got in touch...."

It's a workplace. Smoking is banned in the workplace too.
Yeah, although in this case it's less to do with THE LAW and more to do with some PR for an anti-smoking organisation getting his client a few column inches. All the PRs trawl Top Gear on behalf of their clients these days; they look for something to complain about, bung off a letter of complaint to the BBC, rustle up a press release about how "viewers have complained about Top Gear" - complete with a convenient quote from their client - and bung it off to the papers. Hey presto, come Monday morning they've got a few clippings to add to their quota for the week.

I nearly cried with laughter when Clarkson said that.

Simon Cowell is a really loathsome individual.
On the one hand it was funny to see Clarkson out-twatted by somebody. On the other, my contempt for that Cowell tosser has only increased. The cunt actually believes the sun shines out of his arse doesn't he?

Hopefully Ellen MacArthur will be invited soon and take the little shit off the top of the board.

Good episode on the whole anyway :D
