New series of Grand Designs Weds 28th 9pm

Oh dear, it's not going well is it :(

Ah, rebuilding with concrete blocks - glad to know they're sticking to the original materials

Does that guy ever get emotional about anything though? I'd be a wreck by this point!

Who does the NH guy think he is? 'We.. this and We.... that'

I know he has to, but really....... It will not be his

£20,000 just on the archeological NH stuff  Bloody hell.

Okay, on the ad for More Four after the show Kevin just looked slightly unhinged, waving his arms around. I prefer him with a coat and scarf on.

yeah we call him MR BEN, hes had a emotion bypass operation

He'd have to, to take on that project and not be overrun with worry. In the first part he wanted to sell it and it was his wife who said to keep going so I think he must have had some concern.

And to add - a fantastic and sympathetic renovation that does what builders have done for centuries which is to add new modern bits on.

Anyone see this weeks? The Brummie builder renovating the church? As always I enjoyed the programme seeing someone turn their dream into reality by means of sheer bloody determinism and hard graft.

I did think that Kevin was very sniffy about the builder this week. A distinct waft of snobbery came out of my telly. Even if the swimming pool in the middle of the church looked crap and who cares if the plastic dome was not the finest glass it did the trick for the couple and gave them their special place.

I agree.

Fair play to them for finishing the fucker.

I thought the builder did a great job with the money he spent. Kevin just turned his nose up because they didn't have a couple of million to spend and he didn't want to waste the bit he had on pretentious interior designers and expensive architects. I didn't see the 'trade secrets' programme this week, bet the sour faced women on there hated it.

Did anyone watch last night's prog? I got a feeling of déja vu as I'm sure that Kevin had already covered the build of a similar house in London where they built a small property on a thin sliver of land between two houses and had a window built into the roof...but it was a new one in Peckham. I thought the end result was fantastic, the guy who built it (with his mates) had so much self-belief...

last night's one was a grand designs revisited - the original was on a couple of years ago. surprised that they still have that bath - i would have thought the bed would have got mouldy by now!!

They've actually done a couple of revisited this series I think... Bit irritating as Grand Designs revisited used to be seperate programmes. I can only guess that they're strecthed for material. It is a lovely little house mind you.
