    This week I've bought

Jay and the Techniques I bought because the backing vocals reminded me of the now prohibitively expensive

and because it made me smile in these trouble times (and was literally as cheap as chips) :)

I haven't bought any records for ages, but we're starting up our reggae night again in march, so I've got an excuse

    Cerrone - Supernature/Give Me Love
    Jackson Sisters/Urban All Stars/Maceo & the Macks - I Believe in Miracles/Cross the Track/It Began in Africa
Chaz Jankel - You're My Occupation
    Jhelisa - Friendly Pressure
Patrice Rushen - Forget Me Nots/Haven't You Heard/Never Gonna Give You Up
Rythim is Rythim - Nude Photo/The Dance
Evelyn King - Shame/Dancin' Dancin' Dancin'

    £15 for that lot

Also bought (still in the post)

    Romanthony - Bring U Up
    Don Froth - Reflex EP

    And received a few gifts.

Get well soon gift: Sister Sledge - Thinking of You
Birthday gift: Michael Wycof - Looking Up To You

AND, there's more. Apparently there's another record on its way to me, a birthday gift. I think it's a Paul Johnson tune, but no idea which one

I'm fairly certain from the crackling on the intro that this youtube is recorded off the cheap copy I just bought :D

I love the Enlightment track...It's about nuclear war, genocide and political assassinations but it's the most ridiculously upbeat and optimistic sounding track I've ever heard. Amazing

can't find my copy, so I've just had to re-order 'scum like us like acid' Also picked up 'Hostage Situation' on the same label.

First tracks I've bought in a few years, it felt good.

Mega haul today. Took the day off and went to Vinyl Tap in Huddersfield. Good fun doing oldskool digging, though I wish my tune knowledge was better - I'm sure there was loads of quality stuff I just didn't recognise (and no listening post!)

Anyway, the goodies (12" unless specified):

    Yazoo - Situation (Remix) - 7"
    Leon Haywood - Don't Push It Don't Force It - 7"
    MFSB - Sexy/Human Machine - 7"
    Cameo - Word Up - 7"
Fresh & Low - Bodypopping EP
Merc and Monk - Baby Face
    Yazz - Fine Time
    Speed Limit - Coppin' Rhythm
    Brooks - Colour Me Bad
George Benson - What's on Your Mind/Turn out the Lamplight
Smith & Mighty - Walk On... (Remixes)
Tapps - Burnin' With Fire/My Forbidden Lover
Peter Brown - Can't Be Love - Do It to Me Anyway
    Skyy - Love Illogical
    Escort - Starlight
    Terry Maxx - Anything, Everything
David Joseph - No Turning Back
Pandella - No Worries/Keep the Fire Burning (2x12")
Johnny Vicious vs MFSB/Johnny Viscious vs Satoshi Tomiie - T.S.O.P. / Butt Burgler
    The O'Jays - Summer Fling/Extraordinary Girl
Mass Order - Life Every Voice (Take Me Away)
Linda Clifford - Bridge Over Troubled Water/Hold Me Close
Victor Calderone - Are You Satisfied (2x12")
    Hi-Tension - British Hustle
    V/A - Phuturesole (2x12")
    Calculus - Monkey Cat
Curiosity Killed the Cat - Misfit
Kid Creole & The Coconuts - Tropical Gangsters (LP)
Working Week - Working Nights (LP)
Future Sound of London - We Have Explosive
Tricky Disco - Tricky Disco (Remix)
    Shannon/Madame X - Criminal/Just That Type of Girl

And I also bought a Cottam EP on Sunday but I can't remember which one. Maybe "Breaking Through the Pain Barrier".

caught the bug again, 19 records bought, loads of acid techno, trying to catch up on stuff I've missed.

Can't find a copy of the Chris Liberator and Sterling Moss - righteous remix, which is pissing me off. Only 100 got pressed though so might have to turn to drastic measures...

I do like that! The only thing that's stopped me buying it is my mate who I dj with already bought it, so I get to hear it played out and can spend my money on other records instead

12" with an annoyingly long instrumental section, but nevertheless

Again the 12" Wish I'd bought a few copies of the 7" when I first heard it in August, as they are now going for about £150.

Waiting for the satisfying thud of this hitting the doormat next week
