Yep, got the email this morning. Mind you I only ordered it last night...maybe they're working their way backwards in the email list??

Tis now on my iPod

Doubt it - I ordered mine the same day it was announced and I got my download at about 9.00am U.A.E time - 6.00GMT

Maybe.

First impressions so far, am only partially into it but there's some very good tunes. Bit of electro idiotech style in the first track. Track two is fairly rocktastic, a downbeat one with strings on track three, more lively funky melodic track four (which seems more like single material)

Well worth the £0.01 imho

If I cared about the sound quality, I'd be going to oink too - after buying the sanctioned download first. 160kbps MP3 is hardly Hi-fi.

Err, and how's it going to be any higher quality there then?

Ah true, today it won't be. Unless the CD's in people's hands already. But when the CD's out, you'll be able to get it in FLAC.

Meanwhile - Chip a few quid in eh firky, there's a nice man :)

Can't get the website to work, it won't let me get beyond the bit where you put in how much your willing to pay (I thought you'd choose what to pay after downloading?).

Does anyone have a direct link they can send me?

There's no standout track to hold the attention, which is a problem, with a few exceptions they're all fairly similar, bit like HTTT it all blends into one thing, unlike HTTT it's not outright shit.

I think they're firmly in REM territory now.

Had this been released normaly I reckon it would have been their biggest seller. It is very accessable and melodic. That is almost a problem, its too easy to listen too. Its a great album but somehow its just not quite got it.

Does feel a tad like a B sides album.

I really loved alot of Hail to the Thief. Opinions differe I guess.

So far I like Reckoner and Videotape. Nude sounds alright, but I've heard better versions of it, the rest sounds fairly average. I think I'll reserve judgment until I've listened to it a few more times though.

Me too, it jostles with the bends for 2nd favorite rh album for me.

I've never understood the 'bends camp' it's just a very, very, very good rock album rather than anything spectacular. Maybe it's an age thing ?

WHERE THE FUCK IS THE MASSIVE ENDING ON NUDE, I'LL TELL YOU WHERE, ON THE END OF A FUCKING VIDEOTAPE IN A SHOEBOX UNDER MY BED, THAT'S WHERE.

I'm going to splice the MPIE ending onto it, dead crude like.

Not as edgy or as rocky as Id like but it really is growing on me. Perhaps the second half to The Eraser/ In Rainbows double act like Amnesiac was to Kid A.

I do think they have a loud edgy album left in them.

HTTT is class but it gave 'them' what they wanted. Kid A and IR is them doing their own thing. Artistic freedom...

So I thought I'd join in with the conversation here and download the album and sling the 'head a few quid. But the buggering site is Kaput and has been for hours.

Anyone want to email the thing my way?
