Am I the only person in the world who loves Joy Division but hates New Order?

nope.

new order have had a sum total of maybe six songs in their entire career that have been worth the vinyl they're printed on or more. more often than not it's dull MOR crap.

especially in recent years. i can't understand the adoration whatsoever.

seriously man, the last decade has pretty much been turgid. i can understand why people like some of their stuff, and i like a few tracks myself but they are seriously over-rated.

slight derail - is it New Order on that advert about man and machines living in harmony? (Sounds like them circa Crystal) & if so could this be a cause of the band fall out?

the indesit washing machine ad? yes thats Hey Now What You Doing, from the waiting for the sirens call album. its newer than crystal, which was on Get Ready.

ok the last decade (during which they've made one, maybe two albums at most) hasn't been great. but for the whole of the 80s and even up to that early 90s album, it was all good
