not been following it for years, but would be interested to hear what's good atm - i'd like it deep & driving, please.

Hasn't house splintered into so many different subcategories that it scarcely makes sense to talk of house existing as a developing genre of music.

perhaps. i'd like to hear some of whatever the deep & driving subgenre is, please.

not overly bothered by electro-house tbh... and you can probably assume i've already heard most top 10 singles of recent years too...

probably the only house artist who has pricked up my ears over the past ten years or so has been Omar S:

other than that, to be honest, the only house artists i ever check out releases by are Larry Heard & DJ Rush.

With respect, that is possibly thee most shite piece of music I have had the misfortune to encounter since I arranged to meet someone in the Rhythm Factory on Whitechapel High St for a drink about eight years ago and The Libertines were playing :(

No. I very much doubt Killer B meant anything like that. That is just such unmitigated shit words cannot do it justice.

Incidentally, KB, i thought the original of 'blind' was quite incontestably thee track of 2008. A sad reflection on the state of music nothing has come close to that over the past two+ years (let alone any female singer as hot as Nomi)

that's pretty damn cool stuff. Any releases yet?

(goes quite well with the Youtube clips of Nomi of Hercules shaking his/her hot tranny ass as well)

three or four vinyl releases - he seems well thought of in the house-beard community. there's an interview with him here

there's a few dj mixes he's done floating around on the web too - two of 'em here...

  24. saucisson

    saucisson whoomph! (there it is)

    I like Gui Boratto
(may be more techno than house? dont care what its called).

This is v good also in an old school proggy diggers kinda way (alan Fitzpatrick - reflections)

While mucking about found this Fred falke remix of gossip...(made me punch the air).

hmmm. some of this is ok, but it's generally a bit prog for my tastes - too much techno 'n' trance in there.

anything good coming out of chicago atm?

  28. mitochondria

    mitochondria full-on emptiness

I am really quite behind in house music nowadays with all the clicky techno being generally more to my taste.

My favourite house album of 2009 was DJ Sprinkles - Midtown 120 Blues. .

I don't know about Chicago but from Detroit there's :)

Poker Flat are fairly consistent with their house especially the Dessous sublabel.

    Plastic City
    if you want deep :)

Crazy Norwegians from Smalltown Supersound if you want disco - Mungolian Jet Set is my fav.
