New Futurama Trailer

:( I'm not sure this is a good thing - more a cash in. The fact that it got cancelled meant that the writers came up with some of the best cartoonage ever made IMO - they had nothing to lose.

The last episode, "The Devils Hands Are Idle Playthings", is an absolute masterpiece and things are just left nicely.

What the hell are they going to do? Will Fry end up with Leela or will they end up apart again? Will it become the animated version of Friends?!??!

No good can come of this. We're doomed, DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMED.

If you listen to the DVD commentary, that episode was written before the show was canned, so it isn't meant as a finale. Just a coincidence that it could be received as such.

I knew this.

Fucking good to have it back.

Bender and maybe God...
ha ha! Godfellas, my favourite episode

maybe God who collided with a space probe if you please!

Erm, the remains of a space probe that collided with God, isn't it? Rather than the other way round?

The scene from 'The series has landed' with the Eagle featuring a plaque for the 'Historical Sticklers Society' goes a long way to explaining the kind of sense of humour you need for Futurama. That and Klein beer in Klein bottles.

Might be dead, I was just adding an update for the first film.

Wicked :)

Futurama is different from the Simpson's and took a bit of getting into. I think that this caused a lot of people to lose interest early on but I think I actually prefer it to the Simpson's now.

I had all the box sets but they disappeared during a break up from my ex.

Have a long list of DVDs I want to buy and they are on there somewhere :)

possibly the best TV show ever!

I'm so pleased it's coming back but unsure if I can wait until 2008

Then you should have read my thread reviving post.
The first film is out in November.

I don't know why but that episode with Fry's dog where he waits for him to return outside the pizza place, growing old and then closing his eyes, is one of the sadess things I have ever seen on TV. :(

My wife cannot bear to watch that episode.

I'm ok with the cancellation of futurama, so long as i still have blackjack and hookers.

IN fact forget about futurama, let's just have black jack and hookers.

(humm that doesn't work quite right)

It's brilliant, that. Great use of music, quite genuinely moving.
