No, you know what, you're all absolutely right, I'm mixing it up with Luton. Sorry. It's entirely my fault.

Not that that's in any way a fucking London airport either, and it's completely awful. But it's not in Reading.
  3. There's no airport in Reading, Kidlington is trying and failing to brand itself as London Oxford.
  4. Southend is the newest one which does work as a London airport, 30 minutes from Liverpool St.
  5. scifisam

    scifisam feck! arse! girls! drink!

Southend Airport is now "London Southend." :D

53 minutes from Liverpool St, not 30, beaten by Stansted at 47 minutes from Liverpool St.

What are you talking about? Whitechapel will be entirely step free......

Ah yeah, saw the wrong logo. It's definitely got fuckloads of stairs right now though - way more than it used to, with a long walk from the road to the station. They could have put ramps in. I'm feeling sceptical though and suspect it might be like the step-free access at King's Cross that makes you or your carer walk so far that it's not really very accessible at all.

    ViolentPanda Hardly getting over it.

According to one particular arsehat on this forum, us disabled people should be content with what we're given, accessibility-wise.

Change the record ffs. The fact that you've been keeping this grudge going for years now, and seem to devote your time to following me around the forum, and taking every opportunity (whatever the actual topic at hand is) to jump in and remind everyone of that fact, and at the same time constantly send abuse after abuse in my direction, is truly, truly pathetic. And all over something that was hardly my fault that you're over-sensitive. I suggest you go away, and buy yourself a life.

I suggest you cunt off, fucknuts.

No fucker follows you around. You just express your dickwaddery in so many different forums that it's impossible to avoid your poisonous written effluvium.

Do one, then once you've done one, go and do another one.

You know that pesky mosquito that buzzes around and is generally annoying? Well that's you.

You seem to be living in some kind of state of self denial too, Your're not following me around? Is that so? Then how come your mo for the past few years has been to jump into threads where I am where you have made ZERO contribution previously, solely for the purposes of dragging this tired old bs up again?

If we had a moderating team here who actually did what they were supposed to you would have been banned long ago. Every other forum I've been a member of someone who constantly seeks to disrupt threads by posting off topic, abusive and inflammatory post would get shown the front door pretty quickly.

I can cope with London Southend Airport and London Reading Airport but Londonderry Airport is another example of the DUP taking the piss

Crossrail has been in planning stages & development since the second world war! I am pretty sure that the Crossrail name will stick for a while with those that have been affected by the construction but as time goes by it will become known as "The Brenda Bus"

There is no airport in Reading. All the planes that start flying overhead at half four in the morning are off to Heathrow.

You can't get much more tubey than the Waterloo and City that was a British Rail line till the 1990's

On the other hand the Northern City Line out of Moorgate, at least the tubey bit of it was part of the Northern Line till the 70's and the East London Line was part of the Tube network before being Oranged. Also most of the Wimbledon branch of the District line runs on National Rail tracks, albeit ones that are only used by the National Rail in exceptional circumstances.

Edited to iron out predictive absurdities.

Apologies if this has been discussed upthread as I frankly couldn't be arsed to read it all, but unless they implement a hefty Heathrow supplement, surely this will be the end for the fucking ripoff that is the Heathrow Express?

Good point. Just looked that up and found this:

So they haven't decided the fares yet. In fairness to Bungle upthread, if they do make this line more expensive than normal tube journeys within the same zones, that will be a decent reason not to think of it as the tube. 'The fast route for rich city types' instead.

I could stomach and even understand a higher fare than that of the Tube network. But given that Heathrow Express charges £20+ for a single journey, unless Crossrail has the cheek to ask upwards of £12-£14, I can't see many people choosing the Heathrow Express option.

    I'm on a Crossrail/Elizabeth line train:

Apparently they've been running since June but despite getting this line an average seven times a week it's the first one I've seen. It's very swish and tubelike.
