It sounds suitably patronising, but I really don't know what it means. If you really can't see why that comment was made, I'll leave you in your happy little world.![]()
Ah ok. So to turn that around: any time someone's taking about a Windows hardware/driver issue, you think that it'll be appropriate to pipe up with a comment about some unspecified bug in Apple software that's currently in early beta? The connection seems obvious to me. Windows 7 will be a new product and will most likely have the teething problems of any first release. Same goes for hardware. Never buy the first version of new hardware!

I wouldn't want to do that. That certainly keep the Mac vs PC bunfights going!
Bloody hell. Just looked on e-bay and all the 15" Powerbooks are going for £150-200.
Something I spent £1500 3 years ago! Guess it's the Intel processor thing. Fuck it, I'm keeping mine when I get hold of a MackBook Pro!

Well you could if you'd suffered a strange bout of selective amnesia and completely forgotten about how all the Mac vs PC arguments end up.It isn't a mac vs. windows thing, it's a sensible Buyer Beware opinion about the first release of a new product. You could quite easily say the same about any new tech. - a phone, a camera etc.
A bit cheeky maybe but can anyone point me in the direction of a good ebay deal on a powerbook.

On amyl and crack.wild like a wildebeast
The new laptops are still wildly overpriced though, aren't they?
