I've never seen Casablanca

How do you understand the Simpsons, then?

Like a lot of art and literature, the Simpsons continually makes reference to past classics. In episodes I've seen recently, by coincidence, there have been gags you won't get if you haven't seen the Godfather or Casablanca, two films mentioned in this thread.Erm.. don't geddit!![]()
What is that other film with the snow globe that breaks and its like a million years long and black and white? I havent seen that either.

You should definately watch Braveheart and Gladiator as soon as you can.![]()
.
Citizen Kane, I imagine.
And the best Christmas film is Scrooged.

Gladiator is worth it for the combat scenes alone
Never seen Rambo or Nightmare on Elm Street, I'm glad to say.
Shells, you HAVE to see Godfather, I'll make you an offer you can't refuse...
If the offer involves being fed nice food and drink i will take you up on the offer.

It's actually an offer of not getting garrotted by Luca Brasi, but hey, you'd know that if you'd watched one of the most important films in history![]()
, i have watched enough parodies of it to know that much, i was just hoping to wangle a night of being fed and watered out of someone. Now my plan is ruined.
I know its from the film, i have watched enough parodies of it to know that much, i was just hoping to wangle a night of being fed and watered out of someone. Now my plan is ruined.

And they're not interesting. They're the only bits worth watching.

You know I consider Bladerunner one of the dullest films ever made.
You are dead to me.
