Never seen the Godfather....

Anyone who hasn't watched 2001 and got grit in thier eyes when HAL dies is an emotionless robot in a human-shaped shell.

Me neither. But I have a copy on video. If you two want to come over one night we'll all break our Godfather hymens together.

And if we dont like it we can play kerplunk instead:) this is a plan i like.

I havent seen Bladerunner or 2001.

I do however love Highlander. Danny i dont think there is much hope for me:D

Oh, Back to the future, Blade Runner plus anything made pretty much before 1970.

In fact, i have been sat down in front of BttF about half a dozen times by well meaning friends in an effort to reclaim my childhood, but I cannot rememebr a thign about it. I liked his trainers though.

I dare say those of you that have seen it will all feel my disarray and pain when someone thought that I, at the age of 28, I hadn't lived until i saw Flash Gordon and sat me down one Sunday.

(Oh, and I like GFIII - it's only problem is being up against GFI&II, and the audience wanting the natural progression from those. IIRC FFC wanted to name it "The Death Of Michael Corleone" though the studio prohibited it. Which is understandable, if only to prevent people knowing what happens in it.)

I have only seen half of Empire Strikes Back. I have never watched Grease in its entirity (though have done several viewings of Grease 2). I've never seen Get Carter, and would love to.

I've seen things you people wouldn't believe.

Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion.

I watched C-beams glitter in the darkness at Tanhauser Gate.

All those moments will be lost in time like tears in rain.

Time to die.

:D You're a lost cause; it has a Queen soundtrack!

Oi, i bloody love Queen:D, i am a child of the 80's, i wore a "its a kind of magic" sweatshirt for at least a year.

I was thinking maybe i dont like films that i know are going to be depressing or scare me so i avoid them. What i probably need to have those sorts of films sprung on me then i cant avoid them. I hate about schmidt and that was sprung on me... by me.:(

I havent seen that one with the mental red necks either, squeal little piggy or whatever it was.

Oh and i havent seen any of the big westerns either.

Not seen casablanca, the sound of music, escape to victory, any film with steve mcqueen in it, schindlers list, saving private ryan, acopolyspe now(i might have to be honest), 2001 a space oddesey.

probbaley a few more stone cold classics as well.

Ah, now, see, what you have to decide now is whether to see Holiday Inn first, or White Christmas first. I'm here to tell you Holiday Inn is what you should see first.

:hmm: Is Holiday inn going to make me cross:hmm:, cos that little girl in White Christmas with the line about angels makes me want to put my head through a window. I shall go and investigate.

What is that other film with the snow globe that breaks and its like a million years long and black and white? I havent seen that either.

Everyone knows the best holiday film ever is Muppets Christmas Carol.:D

Can people stop saying stuff like Rocky and Rambo in the same breath as Godfather and Casablanca; it's making me cross.

Rocky isn't that good but IMO the first Rambo film is a great piece of cinema . I've not seen godfather either and I couldn't give a fuck if I never do .

OMG I just used the term "holiday film" when i meant Christmas film.

I will now go poke myself in the eye with a broken HB pencil:(

Or they might have seen it coming BECAUSE YOU'VE JUST TOLD EVERYONE ABOUT IT :confused::(:hmm:

This is the reason I've never watched any of the Star Wars franchise beside the original film. I found out the connection between Luke and Darth Vader and that ruined it for me.

Cheers Dot, that's wiped 2001 of my must see list.

whenever i say this people do this:eek:, and the more that they do this, the less i want to see it, too much peer pressure. I gave into it with
Apocalypse Now (though perhaps the directors cut was a mistake) and was hugely disapointed and erm a bit bored by the end of it.

What so called "classics" have you never seen?

*waits to get killed in the face*

me neither to both :D
