It all looks great to me apart from one thing: it's just a bit too big.

Anything with a screen over 9" starts to become a lot less pocketable for me.

I want: 9" screen. XP. 80GB. Atom. Good Battery life (3hrs min). Bluetooth and Wi-fi.

The 904HD has all of the above (actually I'm unsure about bluetooth) but I dunno what the celeron M chip's like? :)

I didn't realise you could get practically all the functions of the 1000 in the 9 inch model as that suits me much better! :D

<ediot> the celeron m chip is old :(

I like my 4211 so much I'm considering using it as my main machine.

£75 gets a Western Digital Passport 320GB USB drive. Swap the drive in that for the one in the Advent and that's more than enough for me for the moment.

For most real tasks it's not significantly slower than my 2GHz dualcore machine. There isn't really enough screen for serious work, but with an external monitor and keyboard it will be entirely usable.

Western Digital 320GB 2.5" drive is £48 at play.com.

Worryingly. Advent get an all-time low in user ratings at PC Pro's annual awards: http://www.pcpro.co.uk/awards/index.php?pageId=1

The customer service at DSG group is very bad. Advent tech is mainly rebrands so depends on what you buy.
