Nah, didn't go this time. Seen em 3 times in the last couple of years, and wasn't struck on the latest album tbh. Plus it would have had to be another sober gig (what with driving) - and I prefer to have a few pints inside me when I see them

Still reckon the gig I saw him do with Crazy Horse at The Phoenix Festival is one of the best I've ever been to. 2 hours of the cranked-up, full-on feedback 'Weld' set. I stood there open-jawed for most of it. 'Like A Hurricane' went on for approximately 3 weeks.

I'm very much of the "extended solos are for boring old farts" school, but he is one of the very few and perhaps the only person I'd let away with that, because of how he does it.
