Some long standing fans will remember supporter Neil Bright, sadly I have been notified of his death.

Neil was a familiar face down the Hill for several years, often arriving directly from Southwark Local Studies Library after studying the impact of WW2 on London. He and Mishi sometimes arrived together, having met whilst Mishi researched Hamlet's history there. Neil co-authored at least one book, 'A walk through wartime London'. He was also generous sharing his military knowledge when I started researching DHFC during WW1.

Whilst Neil subsequently switched allegiance to Beckenham Town, he remained active in history matters until the end volunteering with CWGC and researching.

Condolences to his family and friends.

Neil co-founded our wartime guided walks business with me back in 2010 and although we went our separate ways and lost contact a few years ago, his passing was something of a surprise. As Roger mentioned, most recently he could be found most Saturday mornings at the Merchant Navy Memorial at Tower Hill, where he was a volunteer guide. My condolences go to his wife Tracey and to his family and friends.
