When I was younger the tv page always had Ne'er day at the top, so I thought there was 30 days in December and Ne'er day. Who knew the English didn't have such a thing, I didn't til I went down there to live aged 10.

So I tried to search online the origins of Ne'er day which was a total fail.
This is WRONG afaic, ne'er day is the last day of the year!!

Then I phoned my mum to ask her but she didn't have any answers either so does anyone know where this comes from?
I'd like to know, and now so would my mum :D

Never heard of it - and I've got a Scottish mother. Are you sure it wasn't a printing error in the telly guide? :hmm:

Suspect your youthful recollections are mistaken. Memory is a tricky thing.

Not conclusive evidence, but aside from the Collins Dictionary thing and Scottish Wikipedia

31st of December was always Old Year's Night when I was a kid. Never heard of it being called Ne'er Day.
