need to buy a dress! HALP!!!

Thats gorgeous.............

but   @ sizing 16-18 above extra large........how is 12-14 extra fucking large ???????

:(

American sizes are bigger than ours..

e.g 10 UK 12 US, 12 UK 14 US

Fact is, if you make your own dresses, you can call them pretty much anything.

yeah, that's the ones. Look like a bouncer :D

Strapless bras are of the devil, and my bewbies are way too big for such things (36G  )
Bloody hell! (((((( My 30c's)))) whatever dress you wear make the most of those!, corset? ;)

I got a strapless bra that pretty much stays in place for my 38G's in M&S. Keeps my boobs approximately where I want them and theres no other bra i could wear with my posh frock.

Braless is NOT an option.

I'd definitely go for a long, probably black, dress - black tie needs something pretty "special" plus it's an excuse to wear something you wouldn't normally and generally dress up to the nines

At least it's christmas party dress season coming up so the shops will soon be packed with dressy numbers.

I just helped my friend choose a wedding dress and she has big arms/shoulders/chest - she's a good swimmer so not overweight just biggish. We found that a dress with straps that sat on the very edge fo the shoulders and went down in a shallow V suited her the best. The v really drew attention up to her face/neck area, where as the strapless numbers emphasised her arms more.

So I'd look for similar cap-sleeved/wide straps with a V, in a long dress.

I think it's always best to go for a classic shape which you'll be able to keep in the wardrobe for other occasions, and can be made to look different with accessories.

http://www.vintageous.com/dressy.htm treefrog, have a look here...many styles to browse and give an idea of the sort of shape you're looking for. :)

those are amazing! Most of them have really small bust and waist sizes, though.

I did and I might get a pair of these

They're American so it should be size US 2-4 = UK 6-8 US 8-12 = UK 12-14 but it might be worth asking them for the exact measurements of the dress to be sure :)

Did they not do returns Tanky? :(

that could be a worry....

Tanky what was wrong with the frock you got off them? Problem is that they sell a bunch of different makes so it's not like any discrepancies in sizing will be the same across the board.

I want the red polkadot halter neck dress....and that tiki one too....gawd.
